Nokia N8 vs Nokia N82; Size Comparison Review Images | ZOMGitsCj
With the Nokia N8 and the good ol’ Nokia N82 in our hands at the recent event, y’all knew we’d compared them to each other, right?
Since the N8′s back panel cant be removed, the IMEI number, Region Product code and other details are situated here at the bottom of the device.

=====================
So there you have it. As you can see the Nokia N8 is quite the successor to the Nokia N82.

You can see how Nseries design has evolved over the last couple years. The N8 only has its Menu button at the bottom left side, under its 3.5 inch OLED Capacitive touchscreen. No calling keys on this one. A Front facing camera, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor are on the top of the screen.
The N82 has a traditional phone layout to it, with its full alphanumeric keypad along with the menu button, delete “c” key, multimedia key, left and right selection keys, and green and red call keys.

But since the N8 was still a prototype device, for now we’ll have to do with a couple size comparison pictures. Just to let y’all know how Nseries design, style and size has changed from the N82 to now.
Front View:

Top View:

The N8 ups that higher with a 12 Megapixel Carl Zeiss Camera, with a Xenon Flash. Shame about the lack of a lens protector though. The tiny slot you see on the right, under the camera, is the Loudspeaker.

The Nokia N82 has a 5 Megapixel Carl Zeiss lens with a sliding lens protector and Xenon Flash.

Both the N8 and the N82 have their power buttons and their 3.5mm standard audio jack (with TV-Out) here.

Ah the return of Xenon Flash. I could not be happier.
Bottom View:

The N8 also has it’s HDMI-Out port here that allows you to project the screen onto a high def screen, with Dolby True sound. You’ll have to use a connector cable that comes with the retail package though.

The N82 has its charging port and microUSB port here along with its microSD slot.

Left View:

The N8 has it’s microUSB port, led indicator, microSD slot and SIM card slot here, since you cant remove the battery (technically).
Right View:
Both devices have their dedicated Camera Buttons here, along with a Zoom in/out (aka Volume Increase/Decrease) Key.
The N82 also has a Gallery button, which isnt present in the newer Nseries devices anymore.
Back View:

Were you thinking of buying a Nokia N8? Have any questions about it’s design versus the N82? Let us know in the comments below y’all.

Both devices have a tiny hole for their mic here.
