Are You Expecting Verizon iPhone, White iPhone 4 At September 1
A whole lot of White iPhone 4 lovers must be waiting for the release of a new version of the Apple’s latest smartphone- the iPhone 4 (read Verizon iPhone) but are they expecting it at today’s newly announced Apple press conference?
Well, going by history ,it is highly unlikely that the Cupertino-based firm Apple will release the new version of the iPhone, be it Verizon iPhone or white iPhone 4, during the press conference. We all know that the iPhone 4 is a hugely popular device and it did record shattering business (1.7 million units were sold in just three days) but the phone is still three weeks back-ordered online and the iphone 4 is not available at retail stores as well.
Tech experts had predicted that the iPhone 4’s reputation would suffer due to the “antenna problem” but now they are predicting that the company would fix the problem at September 1 Apple Event. The antenna woes forced the Apple CEO Steve Jobs to call a press conference and during his interaction with the media persons Jobs said that the issue is not limited to iPhone 4 only rather it is shared by all smartphones.
Apple always rolls out its new iPod models in September and traditionally the company has held a press conference within the first twelve days of September for years now. Although Apple has also used the event to launch several other things like AppleTV, Mobile iTunes Store, and an iPhone price cut, but the company has historically used the September event to launch iPod.
In 2005, Apple launched iPod nano in September press conference. The company also introduced the original video iPod at another press conference in October. So, it means that Apple would also use the upcoming September press conference to launch new iPod and not new iPhone 4 device. Sorry, all ‘iPhone on Verizon’ enthusiasts, the time has not come yet even though there are rumors of its announcement at the September Apple event.
