Apple, Microsoft Team Up to Alleviate ActiveSync/iOS 4 Headaches

When the worlds of Apple and Microsoft collide, troubles are usually not far behind. At least when it comes to integrating the two technology platforms. A recent post on Microsoft’ s Exchange Team Server Blog , details several issues that are cropping up between Apple’s iOS4 software (the operating system that runs on iPhone, iPads and iPod touches) and Exchange Server’s ActiveSync. Exchange is the widely-used e-mail and messaging system and is among the most widely-deployed applications in SMBs and the large enterprise. Exchange ActiveSync provides push synchronization of contacts, calendars and email between ActiveSync enabled devices like smartphones.
