Also, Im not sure about the Genius playlist it makes. I listen to a LOT of audio books I have on CD format. I dont normally buy them off iTunes but borrow them for free from the library and download them to my iPod to save money. How will this iPod read that?
Im glad the TOUCH is not going to be the stadard. I think the classic wheel is the best way to go for music, videos, and games. The wheel is the best invention since… well… the wheel.
-Still easy to use, as ever.

this is the worst nano yet. its soo ugly, it has horrible audio quality even with better speakers. it also always freezes up. there is distortion when used. it is annoying!

I love the almost-square nano’s shape, and its navigation is pleasant. perhaps Apple should take a note from history, like Coca-Cola did–if it’s not broken, don’t fix it. in terms of the ‘new and improved’ design, it’s simply a different, albeit ‘been-there-done-that’ design. a rehash of something old.
-Sleeker, slimmer design.
-Return of the taller (better) body.
-STILL no Bluetooth/WiFi, etc.
-STILL some of the sh***iest audio quality among PMPs (I’m talking just plain abysmal).

Amazon.com Product Description–Posted September 9, 2008
With eight amazing colors, a new curved design, and great new features, iPod nano rocks like never before. The Genius Playlist feature finds the songs in your music library that go great together and makes a playlist for you. With its built-in accelerometer, iPod nano is made to move. Give it a shake, and it shuffles to a different song in your library. Turn it on its side to flip through your album art in Cover Flow. And tilt, move, and play accelerometer-inspired games (games available separately). Watching movies, TV shows, and video is even more fun on the sharp 2-inch screen. And your photos (up to 7,000 of them) look great in portrait or landscape view. Available in 8 GB and 16 GB models, the 8 GB iPod nano puts up to 2,000 songs or 8 hours of video in your pocket. With a new curved design and great new features, iPod nano rocks like never before. Click to enlarge. … More >>
Apple’s ‘Think Different’, forward thinking, does NOT apply.

I’d love to review this product, IF I HAD IT!!!!! The product hasn’t come and I’ve heard nothing from either you or the seller!

-STILL not enough flash memory, especially given the premium price.
Final judgment:
I may be wrong and it may be a great iPod. Appel iPods have yet to disapoint me. I will not buy a cheep MP3 player, I will only go iPod but I plan to buy a 6th gen 80BG silver iPod for my spouse instead of this new one. After all, its the same price as this one’s 16 GB.

Ladies and gents! you can get an 80gb for the price of this 16bg. I LOVE my 80gb 5.5 gen iPod and have NO plans to upgrade. The last iPod Nano (the first iPod nano to feture videos) is also a gem. I bought one for my Dad and it really is so lovely and tiny and he can sneak it anywhere he wants. However, Appel might have fallen victim to over design.

-STILL no support of FLAC and other superior formats.
-STILL no FM radio.
I like the classic white and these colors are a bit to fruity for me. Personally I would like a Black or Silver iPod so it would match my iPod speakers.

If, like my old lady, you like what iPods have done right and can live with what they do oh-so-wrong, then you’ll love the newest addition to the line. If, on the other hand, you’re like me and can’t live without your Cowon PMP – if substance, compatibility and audio quality are more important than style and ease of navigation – then you might want to go an Apple-free route.
